Military Aviation Museum

Virginia Beach Boardwalk

If you're going to visit a Beach, you can't skip a visit to the Boardwalk of Virginia Beach. Lined with restaurants, shops, and other things to do, the boardwalk lined what Guinness has named the longest recreational beach in the world. There are designated lanes for both walkers and bikers, as well as play areas, grassy areas for picnicking, and plenty of benches when you need to stop and rest. You can rent a bike, and visit all there is to do along the pat. Additionally, the boardwalk is home to two museums: the Old Coast Guard Station, and the Atlantic Wildfowl and Heritage Museum. During the winter holiday season, the boardwalk features a beautiful display of Christmas lights, sure to be a hit with the young and young at heart. Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center

If you'd like to learn more about ocean life after one of your visits to one of Virginia Beach's many oceanfront parks, this is the place to go. The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is more than just fish. The facility features a full outdoor aviary, a nature trail, and marshlands to explore in addition to the 800,000 gallons of aquariums. Visitors can meet a live animal at both the marsh pavilion and the conservation station several times a day. In addition, aquarium educators are available to answer questions at several exhibits throughout the aquarium at various times during the the day.
